Surrounded by a number of retailers, East Brainerd is a shopper’s paradise and offers easy access to the area’s rich landscape.


Did You Know?

In 2016, C.E. Blevins’ “Avian Jewels” collection opened at Audubon Acres. The collection includes roughly 1,200 handcrafted replicas of bird eggs from around the world. The collection even features the world’s largest Whooping Crane egg replica standing at nine feet tall and five feet wide.

Hamilton Place Mall has been a cornerstone of the community for over three decades. With large department stores, including Dillard’s, Belk, and JCPenney, and smaller specialty shops, the mall offers a variety of brands to consumers. In close proximity to the mall, Hamilton Crossing, Shoppes at Hamilton Place, and Hamilton Corner provide even more shopping options, and various big box retailers and grocers are located throughout the area as well. The Lookout Farmers Market is held at the Christ United Methodist Church, where shoppers can find seasonal produce, fresh bread, honey, and flowers.




East Brainerd is home to a variety of ethnic cuisines, including Asian, Greek, Italian, Thai, Mexican, American, and traditional Southern. Options in the area range from fast-casual restaurants to fine dining.




Entertainment options for residents and visitors in East Brainerd include movie theaters such as AMC Classic Chattanooga 10 and Regal Hamilton Place. Splitz Alley offers family fun in the form of bowling lanes, laser tag, bumper cars, video games, and more. Two escape room organizations, Breakout Games and All In Adventures, are located in the area. For those who want to switch up their entertainment routine, DEFY Chattanooga features over 60 trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, foam pits, and an anti-gravity room, and Urban Air Adventure is slated to open later in 2020. Dave & Buster’s will also open within the Hamilton Place Mall later this year. The Chattanooga Red Wolves have a new stadium slated to open in nearby East Ridge later this year and will offer sports fans a place to watch quality soccer.




Chattanooga’s oldest wildlife sanctuary, Audubon Acres, is located in East Brainerd and is home to numerous hiking trails and access to South Chickamauga Creek. Nearby, Brown Acres Golf Course, Brainerd Golf Course, and Council Fire Golf Club offer residents and visitors yet another recreation option.




The Heritage House, located in Heritage Park, offers a meeting place for arts and civic events, which hosts the Ambi Artist group, concerts, and additional events throughout the year. Also within a short drive for East Brainerd residents is the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, which regularly holds family-friendly excursions like North Pole Limited and the Halloween Eerie Express.
