Did You Know?

East Brainerd’s Council Fire opened in 1992. Designed by architect Bob Cupp, the golf course has hosted a PGA tour event along with many of Tennessee’s top tournaments.

Real Estate: A wide range of townhomes and executive and luxury homes are attracting residents to the East Brainerd area. Whether in need of a starter home or a more stately property, established communities, along with new developments, are delivering. Well-known neighborhoods include Inverness, Mountain Shadows, Belleau Ridge, Emerald Valley, Brock Pointe, Council Fire, Lakes of Standifer, Ashley Mills, Rosebrook, Reunion, Brookside Commons, Shadow Ridge, Twin Brook, and Holland Gardens.

Top Employers: East Brainerd residents are near top corporations like The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, CBL & Associates, Schnellecke Logistics, U.S. Xpress, Astec Industries, Inc., and a large T-Mobile call center. Also minutes away is Enterprise South Industrial Park, where Volkswagen’s North American assembly plant and an Amazon fulfillment center are located. Additional tenants include Gestamp, ADM, and Plastic Omnium.

Transportation: With its convenient access to major roadways, residents can travel easily to downtown Chattanooga or other nearby cities. I-75 provides routes to Atlanta and Knoxville, and I-24 leads to Chattanooga, Nashville, and I-59, which leads to Birmingham.

Education: Public schools include East Brainerd Elementary, Westview Elementary, Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts, and East Hamilton Middle/High School. East Brainerd students can also attend private institutions; among them are Grace Baptist Academy, Standifer Gap SDA School, Silverdale Baptist Academy, and St. Nicholas School.

Health and Wellness: Medical services meeting a variety of health care needs can be found on Gunbarrel and East Brainerd roads, the main thoroughfares for the area. Recently completing a $50 million expansion, Erlanger East Hospital has been dubbed Chattanooga’s first “lifestyle hospital” and offers health and wellness fairs and classes in addition to cardiovascular, surgical, and women’s services.  Siskin Hospital Therapy Services provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy at its East Brainerd location. Parkridge East Hospital and two campuses of Parkridge Valley are also close by. Quality senior care facilities include Morning Pointe and the Lantern at Morning Pointe.
