A total of six parks are managed by the Parks & Recreation Department of Collegedale: East Hamilton County Park, Wolftever Creek Greenway, Collegedale Dog Park, Imagination Station & Pavilion, The Nature Nook, and Veterans Memorial Park.


With plenty of options in the form of condominiums, secluded country estates, and family-focused subdivisions, the Collegedale and Apison communities appeal to a variety of tastes and budgets. Retirees, families, and young professionals can take advantage of Collegedale communities such as Wellesley and Mulberry Park, while a boom of newer construction in Apison has brought communities such as Bentwood Cove, The Ridges of Crystal Brook, Maple Grove, Prairie Pass, Magnolia Farms, and Hope Ranch Estates. These neighborhoods offer residents modern options in a variety of styles with the ability to customize homes.




Enterprise South Industrial Park is a short drive from the Collegedale and Apison communities and features employers such as Volkswagen’s North American plant, Amazon, Plastic Omnium, Gestamp, and ADM. Also nearby is Collegedale’s McKee Foods Corporation and Southern Adventist University.




Collegedale and Apison offer easy access to I-75, making travel to downtown Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport a breeze. Also accessible via I-75 is Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, and Birmingham, which are all roughly two hours away. The Collegedale Municipal Airport accommodates business and charter operations.




Collegedale students are likely to attend Wolftever Creek Elementary and Ooltewah middle and high schools. Apison students are zoned for either Apison Elementary, Ooltewah middle and high schools, and East Hamilton Middle/High School. Private schools nearby include Standifer Gap SDA School, Lester Coon Adventist School, Grace Baptist Academy, Silverdale Baptist Academy, Collegedale Academy, and St. Nicholas School. In addition to these schools, Southern Adventist University offers attendees associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.




Residents in the area have many health care options, including CHI Memorial Imaging Center in Ooltewah, Erlanger East Hospital in East Brainerd, Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge, two Parkridge Valley behavioral health campuses in East Brainerd, and Tennova Healthcare – Cleveland. Nationally acclaimed senior care centers in the area include Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove, Life Care Center of Collegedale, The Lantern at Morning Pointe of Collegedale, and Morning Pointe of East Hamilton.
