Collegedale is the third fastest growing city in Tennessee. Its population has doubled since 1990 and grew nearly 30% from 2010 to 2015, according to new population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau.



Located between Ooltewah and Apison, Collegedale is a small yet bustling city with around 10,000 people. Considered one of the safest places to live in Tennessee, Collegedale offers beautiful homes, excellent educational options, and easy access to top employers and medical care.

Real Estate: Home to retirees, young adults, and families, homeowners can choose from beautiful country estates to family-friendly subdivisions, townhomes, condominiums, and planned communities. Among others, nearby Mulberry Park is a community of distinctive neighborhoods that feature townhomes, condominiums, and traditional single family homes.

Top Employers: Residents are only a few minutes from Enterprise South Industrial Park, home to Volkswagen, top auto manufacturing suppliers, a new FedEx distribution center, and Amazon’s more than one million-square foot-fulfillment center.  McKee Foods Corporation  and Southern Adventist University  are both located in Collegedale and employ many residents. Wacker Chemie and Whirlpool are just thirty minutes away in nearby Bradley County.

Transportation: Conveniently located next to I-75, Collegedale residents have easy access to Enterprise South Industrial Park, the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, and downtown Chattanooga. Residents can hop on I-75 and connecting interstates and be in Knoxville, Atlanta, Nashville, or Birmingham in just two hours. Collegedale also offers a municipal airport with both private and business aviation.

Education: Collegedale students attend Wolftever Elementary School and Ooltewah Middle and High Schools. Other schooling options include Lester Coon Adventist School, Standifer Gap SDA School, A.W. Spalding Elementary School, Collegedale Adventist Middle School, and Collegedale Academy. Southern Adventist University offers 81 undergraduate degrees, 15 associate degrees, and 15 post-graduate degrees, and has been ranked as a “Top-Tier” school by U.S. News & World Report for 14 consecutive years.

Health and Wellness: Family medical and dental care options, along with several pharmacies and urgent care facilities, are conveniently located. Nearby hospitals and medical centers include Tennova Primary Care – Ooltewah,  CHI Memorial Medical Plaza – Ooltewah, Erlanger East in East Brainerd, Parkridge East Hospital in East Ridge, and Parkridge Valley Behavioral Health in East Brainerd.
