As one of the oldest neighborhoods in Chattanooga, Riverview features stately homes dating to the early 20th century. Many of these, designed by the city’s most prominent architects, surround the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. Planned communities, such as The Enclave at Riverview and Heritage Landing, have much to offer young professionals and retirees, while residences at Longholm Court boast ample square footage for families of all sizes.
Riverview is close to downtown’s top employers, including BlueCross BlueShield, TVA, Unum, EPB, Cigna, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, city and county governments, and three major health systems. Other nearby employers include Kenco Group, Southern Champion Tray, and Chattanooga State Community College.
Situated between Highways 27 and 153, and only minutes from I-24 and I-75, residents of Riverview can easily reach the surrounding area and roads that lead to the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, Atlanta, Nashville, Birmingham, and Knoxville.
Depending on your address, students are zoned for Normal Park Museum Magnet Lower School or Rivermont Elementary, Normal Park Museum Magnet Upper School or Red Bank Middle School, and Red Bank High School. Several other magnet schools are close by, such as Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, STEM School Chattanooga, and Chattanooga High School Center for Creative Arts. Among nationally and regionally acclaimed private school options are Girls Preparatory School, Notre Dame High School, The Bright School, St. Jude School, St. Peter’s Episcopal School, Baylor School, and McCallie School.
Major health care systems are nearby, including CHI Memorial, Erlanger, and Parkridge. Kindred Hospital (a transitional care facility), as well as Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga, is also a short distance away.
