The Lookout Mountain Club was formed by two historic institutions – the Lookout Mountain Golf Club and Lookout Mountain Fairyland Club – in 2017.

Known for its top attractions, Lookout Mountain’s rich history, spectacular views, and outdoor adventures provide endless entertainment for the whole family.


Famous Attractions

A quintessential Chattanooga destination, Ruby Falls boasts the deepest commercial waterfall in the U.S. and has been hosting visitors for nearly a century. For those seeking an adrenaline rush, the ZIPstream Aerial Adventure offers 700 feet of ziplines. Nearby, Rock City leads visitors down a whimsical trail with beautiful rock formations, caves, and enchanting gardens. Among the most notable features is Lover’s Leap, a lookout with views of seven states. Lookout Mountain’s other iconic attraction is the Incline Railway, one of the world’s steepest incline railways at a 72.7% grade.

Historic Sites

Commemorating the 1863 “Battle Above the Clouds,” Point Park and Cravens House are located on Lookout Mountain. Visitors can experience striking views of the valley below and learn about Chattanooga’s role in the Civil War.


Learn to hang glide at the Lookout Mountain Flight Park, where guests can experience a tandem flight for a bird’s-eye view of the mountain. On the western edge of Lookout Mountain, Cloudland Canyon State Park offers 64 miles of hiking trails, 30 miles of mountain biking trails, horseback riding, camping, and more. Other popular hiking trails on Lookout include Glen Falls Trail, Bluff Trail, and the Lula Lake Trails, while the view at Sunset Rock is a favorite spot for locals and tourists.

The Lookout Mountain Club offers first-class country club amenities including fine dining, golf, swimming, tennis, and a state-of-the-art fitness center. Café 7 at Rock City and Café on the Corner serve up modern Southern fare.


Throughout the year, seasonally themed festivals have visitors flocking to Lookout Mountain. At Rock City, the autumn’s Rocktoberfest celebrates German culture with polka dances and bratwurst. The Enchanted Garden of Lights illuminates the holiday season, while Shamrock City summons the luck of the Irish. In the spring, EarthDayz and the Southern Blooms Festival feature beautiful blossoms. At Ruby Falls, events include Christmas Underground and Romance at Ruby, and its top-rated Dread Hollow provides terrifying thrills.
