Surrounded by Tennessee’s rich landscape and with easy access to Chattanooga’s premier shopping district, East Brainerd draws a crowd year-round.

Shopping

Home to many regional and national retail stores, Hamilton Place Mall has been a fixture in the community for three decades. The mall offers department stores (Belk, Dillard’s, and JCPenney), a bookstore, specialty shops, and eateries. The surrounding Hamilton Crossing, Shoppes at Hamilton Place, and Hamilton Corner provide even more shopping options, and various big box retailers are located throughout the area as well. Lookout Farmers Market is held on Tuesday nights at Christ United Methodist Church, where shoppers can find seasonal produce, fresh bread, honey, and flowers.

Dining

From authentic Greek and Asian favorites to Italian and Thai dining, residents can find a restaurant for every palate. More traditional Southern eateries are dotted throughout the area, as are a variety of fast-casual options. Local, regional, and nationally recognized eateries and sports bars are all enjoyed in East Brainerd.

Entertainment

Movie theaters operating in East Brainerd include Regal Cinemas Hamilton Place 8 and AMC Classic Chattanooga 10. For family fun, Pin Strikes offers 24 bowling lanes, laser tag, bumper cars, video games, and more, while Superfly Extreme Air Sports features over 60 trampolines, a ninja obstacle course, foam pits, and an anti-gravity room. Two escape-room adventures, Breakout Games – Chattanooga and All In Adventures, are both located in the area.

Outdoors and Parks

Audubon Acres, Chattanooga’s oldest wildlife sanctuary, is a great place to explore, learn, and play. Highlights include the Elise Chapin Wildlife Sanctuary, numerous hiking trails, and access to South Chickamauga Creek. Several public and private golf courses can be found nearby. The city’s two public courses, Brainerd Golf Course and Brown Acres Golf Course, are open year-round, and Council Fire Golf Club is a private course nearby.

Arts and Attractions

The Heritage House, an arts and civic center located in Heritage Park, hosts the Ambi Artist group, concerts, and events throughout the year. Just a few minutes from East Brainerd, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum regularly holds family-friendly events like Railfest, North Pole Limited, and the Halloween Eerie Express.
