Surrounded by Tennessee’s rich landscape and with easy access to Chattanooga’s headquarters for shopping and dining, East Brainerd has it all.
Shopping: Home to numerous regional and national retail stores, Hamilton Place Mall has been a fixture in the community for almost three decades. The mall offers more than 200 stores, and the surrounding shopping areas, Hamilton Crossing, Shoppes at Hamilton, and Hamilton Corner include even more options. Various big box retailers such as Lowes, Home Depot, Target, Walmart Supercenter, and Bed Bath & Beyond are located throughout the area as well. The Lookout Farmer’s Market at Audubon Acres is East Brainerd’s first farmers market. Fresh, local produce, meats, preserves, breads, and more are all available at Audubon Acres.
Restaurants: From authentic Greek to Asian favorites to Italian dining and Thai food, residents of East Brainerd and visitors alike can find a restaurant for every palate. More traditional Southern eateries are dotted throughout the area, as are a variety of fast-casual options. Local, regional, and nationally recognized eateries and sports bars are all enjoyed in East Brainerd.
Entertainment: Entertainment options are never far away in East Brainerd. Several movie theaters operate in the area, including Regal Cinemas Hamilton Place 8 and Carmike Wynnsong 10. Pin Strikes Entertainment Center offers bowling lanes along with a 2,500-square foot laser tag facility, video arcade, bumper cars, and balladium.
Outdoors and Parks: Audubon Acres, spanning 132 acres along the South Chickamauga Creek, is Chattanooga’s oldest wildlife sanctuary. Hiking trails enable the outdoor enthusiast to learn about the abundant wildlife in Audubon. Several public and private golf courses can be found throughout the area. Brainerd Golf Course, one of the city’s oldest, is a public course, and just minutes from Hamilton Place Mall is Brown Acres Golf Course. Council Fire Golf Club is a private course nearby.
Arts: The Heritage House is an arts and civic center located in East Brainerd’s Heritage Park. Festivals and public events occur throughout the year at the Heritage House, including Photo Fest, East Brainerd Marketplace, Bark in the Park, Nights of Heritage, and more. Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, just a few minutes from East Brainerd, hosts Railfest each year, offering local rides, a petting zoo, live entertainment, and more.
